Jonas W. Doctor

Jonas W. Doctor made his debut in 2020 with the fantasy comic Tales from the Distant Realm – The Legend of Ivan the Knight, which was nominated for the Claus Deleuran Award for Best Debut.

Growing up immersed in role-playing games, Dragonlance, and Conan the Barbarian, Jonas developed a lifelong passion for fantasy. This love of the genre has inspired his Tales from the Distant Realm series.

Trained as an animator, he spent many years working on animated films, short films, and commercials before deciding to leave the animation industry to become a teacher. Today, he writes, illustrates, and colors his comics himself, with a style deeply influenced by his background in animation.

Jonas lives in rural North Zealand (Denmark) with his wife and their two sons.
